Message for August 30th:

Good Morning Clara Barton Parents/Guardians,

Mrs. Sobeck, the school nurse, asked if I could spread the word to families and co workers who are willing to donate clothing to the Health Office-new or used.  We have a shortage on small and medium shorts and pants for boys and girls. NO jeans please. It tends to be easier if they are stretch pants or sweat pants. Donations of boys and girls under pants would be amazing! Running low by the day already.  We can also use a few items on the larger side for some of the 3rd graders.  Lastly, any donations of plastic shopping bags throughout the year for soiled clothing would be helpful.  I appreciate your efforts and you can send them directly to school marked :Nurse Donations" or just set them on the nurse bench marked/donations at your convenience.  Thank you so much and have a great week!

Message for August 27th:

To the Parents and Guardians of Clara Barton Elementary Students:

This was a fantastic start to the new school year. It was great to see all the students and their smiling faces (I know they are smiling under that mask).  Even though we had a glitch here and there, overall the week was organized and the students’ behaviors were exceptional. We ask that everyone please read the PTA information that will be sent home at the beginning of next week.  It is in regards to joining the PTA and the yearly calendar sale. This is a worthwhile organization and your support enables many extracurricular activities for the students that otherwise would not be available.

I would like to mention Ms. Kim, the building secretary, Ms. Doreen and the rest of the custodial staff for all the work they put in over the summer in preparing the building for the first week of school.  Shout out also to all the Clara Barton teachers and staff who have been working so hard the first week of school to start the year as normal as possible.

I look forward to a great year ahead!  Thank you and have a great weekend!
